GISB probe: Seizures include almost RM900,000 cash, horses and peacocks

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have seized a wide variety of items from Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) during Ops Global, including almost RM900,000 cash; animals including horses, rabbit and peacocks, as well as multiple vehicles, says Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

The Inspector-General of Police said a total of 138 GSIB bank accounts with funds totalling RM882,795 were frozen under Section 44(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.

“15 other accounts have been closed. It is part of our investigation in Ops Global,” he said.

Police also seized 38 cars worth approximately RM3.8mil along with 14 lots of land, he said.

“Twenty-six animals, including nine horses, 14 rabbits and three peacocks were also seized.

“Two watches worth RM600 and RM18,650 in cash were also seized,” he said.
