BABYMONSTER’s Title Track Demo Featured Legendary YG Entertainment Artist

BABYMONSTER is gearing up to release their first full-length album, DRIP, on November 1, worldwide.

As the release date is fast approaching, the group’s promotional appearances have kicked off in full gear. On October 22, they appeared as special guests on The K-Star Next Door, a popular YouTube show hosted by Jonathan Yiombi.

During their conversation, Jonathan complimented the BABYMONSTER members on their exceptional talents, adding that their “YG Genes” were very prominent. They also talked about BABYMONSTER’s special performance at the recent 2NE1 concert, highlighting the strong legacy of the YG Entertainment artist roster.

Jonathan then mentioned that YG Entertainment’s legendary artist G-Dragon was also involved in the career of BABYMONSTER, as he was one of the composers of their upcoming title track, “DRIP.”

Asa then revealed that G-Dragon not only participated in the song’s production but also recorded the demo song. “It was an honor,” she explained giddily.

Asa was also given the mammoth task of emulating G-Dragon’s style while recording the song. Though initially she was flustered and intimidated, she gave it her best shot.

When Jonathan asked if G-Dragon had given them the guide, Rora quickly intervened to prevent her members from giving out any more spoilers.

The anticipation around BABYMONSTER’s new album was already high, but given G-Dragon’s deep involvement, it just went up a notch higher!
