Are things over between Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming and his influencer girlfriend Ye Ke?
The internet seems to think so after the 46-year-old star deleted his Weibo post announcing their relationship yesterday (Nov 28), just two months after posting it.
Soon after, the hashtag “Huang Xiaoming deletes relationship announcement” trended on Weibo.
If the rumour is true, we’re not at all surprised, considering the flak Xiaoming has been getting due to Ye Ke’s controversial remarks on social media.
The 32-year-old influencer has flaunted her wealth, lied about her family background, criticised Taiwanese rock legend Wu Bai, among other things.
All this has caused Xiaoming much distress and he had to apologise for Ye Ke’s controversies.
Recently, a video of Xiaoming looking visibly tired and disheartened during an interview for his movie A Cover-Up resurfaced.
In the interview, he said: “I don’t know if you’ve ever felt this way, where life sometimes feels unbearable, and you just wish it was all a dream.”
He continued: “At my age, I’ve felt this. When you face harsh realities, feel helpless, and are unable to speak out and there are so many problems you don’t know how to resolve, you just wish you could wake up and realise it was all just a dream. Sometimes, I just want to pinch myself and ask, ‘Is this a dream?’”
His listless appearance and pessimism only added fuel to the speculation.
While some netizens expressed sympathy for his struggles, many were supportive of the split, congratulating Xiaoming for “escaping misery”.
Fans also advised him to “choose wisely” in future.
Xiaoming was previously married to actress Angelababy. The couple divorced in January 2022 after six years. They have a seven-year-old son, nicknamed Little Sponge.

He probably wishes he hadn’t dated Ye Ke.
