Chinese Singer Who Studied In S’pore Criticised For Lifting Her Dog Up By Its Leash

Chinese singer Curley Gao aka Xinlinnayi Gao best known for her appearance in shows like Sing! China and Chuang 2020, has come under fire for how she treats her dog.

The 26-year-old, who attended primary and secondary school in Singapore, recently took her pooch with her to a public event.

In a video that has gone viral, she was seen dragging what appears to be a small toy poodle by its leash as the dog seemed reluctant to move.

Curley then stopped to carry her dog. Instead of bending down to pick it up, she lifted the pup by its leash and into her arms.

Netizens were ticked off by her behaviour, with some worrying that her actions might injure her dog. Others also accused her of animal abuse.

While there are those who say that the dog would be okay since it was wearing a harness, a veterinarian has said that what Curley did “would definitely affect the dog”.

Curley has also spoken about the incident, saying: “[My dog] usually runs really fast, don’t be charmed by its innocent appearance.”

Um, maybe it’s trying to run away from her?
