Drama Adaptation of “The Remarried Empress” Finalizes Casting

The Remarried Empress is a wildly popular Korean webtoon that has captured the hearts of readers worldwide with its blend of romance, political intrigue, and empowering storytelling. Since its debut in 2019, the series has consistently ranked among the top fantasy romances, praised for its compelling female lead, dramatic twists, and elegant artwork. Its global success has even led to print volumes, merchandise, and a loyal international fanbase.

The Remarried Empress has been confirmed for a drama adaptation, with a star-studded cast. Recently on April 17, 2025, the production team finally confirmed the actress for the role of Rashta. Lee Se Young is the last piece in the puzzle.

She will play Rashta, the secretly cunning orphan who aims to take the role of the Queen.

Shin Min Ah will play the titular character, Empress Navier. Her life takes a dramatic turn when her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, introduces a mistress named Rashta into the palace and seeks a divorce.

In a bold move, Navier accepts the divorce and simultaneously requests permission to remarry, choosing Heinrey, the emperor of the Western Kingdom.

Heinrey will be played by Lee Jong Seok.

Sovieshu will be played by Ju Ji Hoon.
