Singer BIBI recently talked about her high ambitions regarding her career during a talk show appearance.

BIBI has been making strides as both a singer and an actress in recent years. 2024 was a huge year for the star, as her song “Bam Yang Gang” exponentially increased her popularity globally, bringing her acknowledgement from industry seniors like Lee Hyori and 10 CM.

In addition, she also won the Best New Actress award at the Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in Hopeless and the Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards for The Fiery Priest 2.

During her recent guest appearance on the MBC talk show Radio Star, BIBI talked candidly about these career milestones, admitting that she still felt out of place in the industry. “I’m too free-spirited to be considered an idol, but too ambiguous to be called a musician,” she explained, adding that during a recent music awards ceremony, she felt like she wasn’t fully welcomed anywhere. “But seeing my seniors’ smiles,” she recalled, “I teared up.”

The conversation then progressed to the topic of her upcoming world tour, and it led to BIBI talking boldly about her ambition. She revealed that for the Korea concerts alone, she will have a 10-member band and 16 dancers on stage, offering a hint of the high-quality production fans can expect from her shows.

She then talked about her ambition of affording a private jet, for the sake of her hardworking staff. “Knowing my staff endure economy class, I want to succeed enough to travel by private jet,” she announced resolutely.

If her current career trajectory is any indication, the singer might be well on her way to fulfilling this dream soon enough! Meanwhile, BIBI will be commencing her first world tour, EVE, in Seoul on May 16. So far, her stops include the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia.
