On July 2, a news article about YG Entertainment’s artists and their plans, media outlets reported, “BLACKPINK is set to release a new song along with a full group tour this coming July.”

While fans would be expected to be happy, there was some backlash, with netizens explaining that they wanted proper confirmation, not just articles with predictions that hadn’t been confirmed by YG Entertainment and that it seems like there are always plans for BLACKPINK to return, but they don’t seem to ever come to fruition.
