The dolls come in a variety of colors, styles, and looks, with some being more rare than others. This causes fans to pay high resale prices or even camp out overnight to get their preferred doll. As the dolls come in “blind boxes,” you are never guaranteed to get the exact one you want.

After becoming popularized by BLACKPINK‘s Lisa and many other celebrities, the cult-like craze has spread globally. However, the doll recently announced it is officially suspending offline sales at locations in Korea until further notice.

Pop Mart, the store where the doll is sold, recently announced that all offline sales of the doll will be temporarily suspended due to safety concerns. With crowds of customers flocking to stores whenever there’s a restock, it could quickly become dangerous.
