Haidilao M’sia’s Most Popular Dancing Waitress Is Now Selling Ice Agar-Agar On Streets Of Penang

No more Tang Tang Hulu Hulu?

And just like that it’s been 10 months since we met Haidilao Malaysia’s most popular waitress, Bai Huining aka Xiaobai, when she came to Singapore to perform at their Paya Lebar Quarter outlet last September.

Ever wondered what she’s up to now?

Recently, Xiaobai was spotted manning an agar-agar stall at the Butterworth Nine Emperor Gods Temple in Penang.

A quick check on her Xiaohongshu revealed that she left Haidilao earlier this year. According to Xiao Bai, it was  something she had planned to do, whether or not her dancing was getting noticed by others

She was approached by content creator Penang Foodie at her stall.

When asked if she’s “Xiaobai, the person who went viral for dancing at a hotpot store?”, she   smiled before replying: “Yes, you know me?”

According to Xiaobai, her stall is only open for two days every week, at two different locations — Butterworth Tow Boo Kong Temple every Thursday as well as Butterworth Nine Emperor Gods Temple on Saturdays.

Netizens were shocked to see Xiaobai starting her own business, with many asking in the comments if and why she’s not dancing anymore.

One suggested it must be because the hotpot chain is too “stingy” and “refuses to pay her extra for dancing”.

A fan, however, asserted that Xiaobai has previously said on her socials that she didn’t stop dancing and only started the business after seeing its potential due to the hot weather in Malaysia.

Having the business allows Xiaobai to release anxiety and stress while also giving her the flexibility to indulge in her own hobbies such as “dancing, self care and taking photos.”

The ex-Haidilao waiter-slash-dancer is said to be more focused on social media live streaming now.

Guess we won’t get to see her dance ‘Tang Tang Hulu Hulu’ at Haidilao again.

Haidilao Malaysia has lost its biggest star?
We wonder if people have already started going to her stall to get her to dance
