Flexing Firefighters & Soldiers Steal The Show At Malaysia’s Merdaka Parade

NDP organisers, Tampines Fire Station, are you guys taking notes?

If you’ve not heard of Malaysia’s Abang Bomba, you are missing out.

Abang Bomba is a nickname for a bunch of hunky firefighters, known for flexing their muscles and hamming it up at Malaysia’s Merdeka Parade every year.

This year’s parade on Sunday (Aug 31) was no different as the hunky uniformed men flaunted those biceps to wild adoring crowds at the mobile column on Malaysia’s national day.

However, in recent years, the Abang Bomba aren’t the only ones hogging the spotlight anymore.

At this year’s parade, other groups of military personnel like the Abang Askar (aka the armed forces’ answer to Abang Bomba) were also seen flashing big smiles and even bigger biceps to spectators who were lapping it all up.

Netizens’ reaction to the flesh parade have been just as enthusiastic too.

Malaysian netizens seem to be on board with the show, and many agreed that the flexing made the mobile column the real highlight of the parade.

“The best gift we could get from our brave men and women,” read a comment, while another wrote, “All that posing has got me inspired to transform my one pack to a six-pack!”

One disappointed attendee even lamented, “Why are the Abang Bomba not at my side and waving to me? Can they come save me from my sorrow?”

Hello, Tampines Fire Station and National Day Parade (NDP) organisers, Singapore has its very own unit of handsome hunks, right? Just saying.

Meet the Abang Bombas, who parade spectators are most looking forward to each year

Others like the Abang Askar were also seen flashing big smiles as they showed off their biceps while the crowd went wild

Those gains have even inspired a netizen to start working on his own six pack
