Hunky Condo Security Guard Goes Viral, Turns Out This Is Not His First Brush With Fame

A luxury condo in Taoyuan’s Art and Cultural District is suddenly internet-famous, not for its fancy lobby or sky-high property prices, but for its hunky security guard.

A passerby uploaded two slightly blurry photos of the guard on Threads with the caption: “[He’s] super handsome, with a great physique!”.

Within days, the post racked up millions of views and the comments section basically turned into a thirst fest.

“He really is handsome and has that Hong Kong movie vibe,” gushed one user, while another complained: “Why is it that our community uses the same security company, but we only get uncles?”

The man behind the uniform was soon identified as Meng Ting.

Responding to the buzz, Meng Ting revealed he was only standing in for a friend that day and never expected such attention.

He introduced himself as a health and fitness coach, dropped his Instagram handle (@mt760405), and welcomed people to reach out for guidance.

He also casually mentioned that he’s already married, prompting netizens to quip that their interest had suddenly vanished.

This isn’t Meng Ting’s first brush with fame.

Back in 2016, when he served as a platoon leader at Hsinchu’s Guanxi military base, his chiselled looks and buff physique earned him the nickname “dreamboat platoon leader” on Taiwan’s popular forum PTT.

At one point, there were even rumours he might star in a local version of Descendants of the Sun.

And if that wasn’t swoon-worthy enough, Meng Ting is also a trained dancer.

Before joining the army, he graduated from the National Taipei University of the Arts with a major in dance, specialising in ballet.
