Kris Wu Rumoured To Have Died In Prison After Going On Hunger Strike

Chinese pop idol and former EXO member Kris Wu has been rumoured to have gone on a hunger strike and died from health complications while in prison.

The 35-year-old was sentenced to 13 years in jail in 2021 after influencer Du Meizhu accused him of rape and hosting group sex parties.

Kris has always maintained his innocence but is still reportedly serving time at a prison in Beijing.

Despite rumours of his death going viral on Weibo, prison and judicial authorities have remained silent, and sceptical netizens are calling it fake news again.

In fact, this is the fourth time since his sentencing that Kris’s ‘death’ has circulated online, all of which turned out to be false.

In April this year, netizens claimed to have been told that the Europe Raiders actor had died due to a conflict in prison, which was met with radio silence from authorities.
