Entertainment outlet fight: Victim died of stab wound to the chest, say cops

SEREMBAN: The man who was attacked by several assailants at an entertainment centre here early Sunday (Nov 23) died of a stab wound to the chest, according to police.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Azahar Abdul Rahman said this was the finding of a medical team from Hospital Rembau after an autopsy of the victim.

The victim was in his 40s and self-employed, he added.

“We are still looking for other individuals to help in investigations,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 25).

On Monday (Nov 24), ACP Azahar said police had detained two suspects to assist in investigations of the man’s death.

The two have been remanded for five days, he added.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

A preliminary police probe revealed that a fight broke out among a group at around 4.30am.

The victim, who sustained injuries and fell unconscious, was then rushed to Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital but was pronounced dead by doctors.

Earlier, it was reported that 10 to 12 men were involved in the fight.

A CCTV recording showing the victim trying to get away from the group has since gone viral on social media.

The 1min, 26sec clip shows the victim being hit with chairs and boxes.
