Taylor Momsen Tries On Original Cindy Lou Who Costume From ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ In New Video
Taylor Momsen is really embracing her past this holiday season!
The 32-year-old The Pretty Reckless musician and former actress has been looking back at her time as a child actor in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, even re-recording her song from the film, “Where Are You Christmas?”
Now, she’s trying on one of her Cindy Lou Who costumes after over 25 years!
“Yes…that is my real Cindy costume from the Grinch movie 🥰 25 years later…it still (kind of) fits 🤣 what a surreal holiday season,” she captioned a video of her trying on one of her dresses from the movie, which she filmed when she was just six years old.
Back in November, Taylor reunited with her Grinch co-star Jim Carrey for the first time since they filmed the movie. Find out what she had to say about their reunion!
In a recent interview, Taylor opened up about why she kind of resented the movie.
After the movie came out, she became synonymous as being “the Grinch girl,” and as a young child, her own personal identity was becoming that.
“I spent a long time, I don’t want to say resenting Grinch because that’s too harsh,” she said on the Zach Sang Show. “I had a really, really great time making that film and I have no bad memories of it whatsoever. But it was something that came around every year that I’d roll my eyes at.”
However, after going through a “very hard period” of her life that came “with a lot of loss and a lot of grief and a lot of depression,” she worked to try and “save myself,” looking backwards and coming to terms with parts of her life with an adult perspective. Now, she looks back with appreciation that the movie comes around every year and brings joy to people.
