Grace Chan Thanks Kevin Cheng For Taking Care of the Family
Since welcoming son Rafael in February 2019, TVB actress Grace Chan (陳凱琳) has eased out of onscreen work to stay at home to care for her son. Grace’s last drama was 2019’s Justice Bao: The First Year <包青天再起風雲>, in which she only made three-episode guest appearance.
In March, the 28-year-old announced that she has been working on her own beauty brand, titled Snow Queen. The first pop-up store was opened in Tsim Sha Tsui two weeks ago. Snow Queen had been many months in the making, and her dedication to the brand could potentially mean that Grace would have less on-screen acting appearances in the future.
But to be a new mother and a new businesswoman is no easy task, and without her husband Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), Grace would have never made it this far.
On Sunday, Grace took to Instagram to publicly thank her husband for taking care of Rafael while she was working on her business. She wrote, “Creating your own brand takes a lot of time and energy,” she wrote. “I admit that I have neglected my family in the process, and I do feel a bit guilty. But not only did my family and husband not blame me, they understood me and supported me. They even helped me take care of all the errands and the little things around the house, so I could comfortably prepare for my first brand event!”
Grace then shared a quote from H. Jackson Brown, Jr., the author behind Life’s Little Instruction Book, to describe Kevin and her family: “Love is when the other person’s happiness is more important than your own.”
