University of Oxford To Begin Human Testing Of Potential Covid-19 Vaccine Tomorrow

We’ve all been staying at home and looking out for any potential signs of liberation from the coronavirus.

And now, we may possibly be on the way to a miracle.

As according to the Independent, the University of Oxford will begin human trials of a potential coronavirus vaccine tomorrow. The Oxford team has announced that if the trials go successfully, millions of doses of the vaccine could be available September of this year.

The Covid-19 virus has already claimed over 177,000 lives worldwide with over 2,561,000 still awaiting news on their fate. The outbreak has also caused devastating economic damage to countries all over the world.

In a press conference, Matt Hancock, the health secretary of the University of Oxford said that their government has thrown millions into clinical trials for the teams at the University of Oxford and the Imperial College London.

Despite the normal development time for a vaccine is about 18 months or more, the Oxford researchers led by Professor Sarah Gilbert are optimistic that a large-scale production could potentially be under way.

It all comes down to how well the human tests go.

Let’s pray and hope for the best!
