Malaysia’s First Drive-In Cinema To Launch In KL Very Soon
Keen on watching movies on a big screen but scared of the potential spread of Covid-19? Perhaps the next best thing is a drive-in cinema.
It was announced last week that Malaysia’s first drive-in cinema, called M-Junction, will be debuting very soon. How soon you asked? According to our source, the launch will take place either at the end of this month or in August.
A new drive-in cinema recently opened in Bangkok, Thailand where a cooling system (with a network of plastic pipes) was installed at the parking lot to combat the tropical heat. That way, movie-goers can enjoy the movie within the confines of their vehicles without having to turn on their engines.
Although cinemas in Malaysia have officially been allowed to open, many local movie-goers still aren’t confident about the limited seating and regular disinfections. People in Thailand were willing to fork out a fee for the drive-in cinema experience that came with popcorn and soft drinks. Many felt that it is a safer option.
Brought to you by TwoSpicy Entertainment Live, the same folks behind Dinner In The Sky Malaysia, Plane In The City, and Whimsy, we can confirm that M-Junction will debut in two different locations. One of which will be in Kuala Lumpur.
