2 Nasi Kandar Restaurants In Malaysia Ordered To Close For A Week

A number of eatery stores have not been following necessary protocols during the restricted movement control order (RMCO).

This time, 2 nasi kandar stalls located in Kepala Batas, Penang have been ordered to close for a week for violating the standard operating procedures (SOP).

Seberang Perai Utara Police Chief, ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor said that the order was issued by the Health Ministry (MoH) in a joint inspection with the police. The inspections were conducted by the authorities as well as health officials at several restaurants yesterday (Monday, 17th August)

According to the police chief, among the offences committed by the staff at the eateries include not restricting the amount of customers and also not implementing social distancing practice as required under the Covid-19 SOPs. 3 other eateries were issued a warning notice for violating the SOP. This included a famous fried noodle restaurant located in the area.
