Matthew Lawrence Asks Judge to Terminate Spousal Support in Divorce from Cheryl Burke

There is an update in Cheryl Burke and Matthew Lawrence‘s divorce.

On Friday (March 18), the 42-year-old Boy Meets World alum submitted his legal response to the 38-year-old Dancing with the Stars pro’s divorce filing with the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

In his filing, Matt asked the judge to terminate spousal support for both parties and to uphold their prenuptial agreement, according to court documents obtained by E! News.

Cheryl filed for divorce back on February 18, stating the couple’s official date of separation as January 7, 2022. Both Cheryl and Matt cited irreconcilable divorces as the cause for their split.

The couple first met in 2006 when Matt‘s older brother, Joey Lawrence, had been a contestant on DWTS. They started dating then, but split up just a year later.

Cheryl and Matt rekindled their romance in 2017 before getting married in 2019.
