Controversy Surrounding Yoo Yeon Seok Takes A Bizarre Turn After Alleged Fake Apology Comes To Light

The original accuser now denies ever making the apology.

The controversy stemming from allegations that Yoo Yeon Seok belittled his former apartment security guard has taken a bizarre turn.

On March 21, a netizen alleged that the actor had belittled his father, who had been a security guard working at the actor’s apartment complex.

One day Yoo Yeon Seok and his friends were stretching before riding their bicycles. Seeing this, my father tried to strike up a conversation and pointed at the nearest bicycle and asked, while smiling, if the bike was his.

After hearing my father, Yoo Yeon Seok, scrunched up his face and asked his friends, “Hey, what is he saying?” Yoo Yeon Seok then started pointing at the bicycle and asked my father, “Do you think I would ride a dirty old bicycle like this? Are you saying this is mine?” The actor then started laughing at my father.

According to the netizen, the actor and his friends had talked down to his father and shamed him to the point that his father eventually quit his job.

Yoo Yeon Seok then locked eyes with my father and waved his fingers twice at him, then told his friends to ignore him, and they all rode past my father. While they did so, each of them took turns looking my father up and down and laughing at him while they rode by.

My father took pride in his work and did whatever he could to help the kind residents, but he revealed that due to the shame and embarrassment he felt that day, he quit soon after.

Netizens and fans of the actors were confused by the allegations as the actor had previously maintained a pristine public image. Netizens cautioned criticizing the actor after reading the post and asked the netizen to provide more evidence.

Then on the evening of March 22, a post was uploaded in which the author claimed they were the person who had originally made the allegations. The author of the post then apologized for the controversy and stated that they had made up the allegations because they were jealous of the actor’s popularity.

Netizens were blindsided again, however, when the original author of the post denied ever writing the apology.
