On August 3, K-Pop upstart NewJeans performed at the famed Lollapalooza Festival. The four-day music festival is widely regarded as one of the biggest in the United States, with marquee American acts such as Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar, and the legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers performing on this year’s stage.

Despite only debuting in Korea a year ago, NewJeans took on the daunting task of performing on the legendary stage and showed up for their fans — and their fans for them!

On August 4, a post in an online community went viral. In the post, the author uploaded a tweet of the Lollapalooza crowd’s reaction to the group. In the video, audiences can be heard singing loudly to every word of NewJeans’ “Super Shy.”
