Myolie Wu Turns 40

Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) officially turned 40 on November 6, and her husband Philip Lee (李乘德) threw her a birthday party to commemorate the occasion. Her closest friends and fellow members of the Nonsense Club Selena Lee (李施嬅), Paisley Wu (胡蓓蔚), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), and Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) were in attendance. They all wore striking red outfits to celebrate the birthday girl’s big day.

Afterwards, Myolie shared photos from the event on her Instagram and expressed, “Time flies by. In the blink of an eye, I’m already entering my 40s. I feel so lucky and fortunate to have a group of good sisters who accompany me on my birthday every year, a loving husband, two healthy and happy babies, and good health. I’m so grateful. Stepping into my 40s, I must work harder to fulfill my roles. Thank you to my family for supporting me and loving me. I will work hard.”

In the early morning hours, Philip dedicated a post on Instagram to his wife. He wrote, “Happy birthday, my beautiful queen. A great end to your dirty thirties, and hopefully a glorious start to the naughty forties – bring it on!”

Nancy also wished Myolie a happy birthday on Instagram. She said, “I’ve always said you have a great life plan, be it work or family, everything is perfect. In the blink of an eye, you are already a wife and a mother of two sons, very fulfilling. In the coming of days, don’t rush -enjoy every step of the way. Let’s keep walking together! We love you!”

In late 2015, Myolie married Philip at 36-years-old and welcomed their first son, Brendan Lee (李奕霆), two years later. The couple had another boy, Ryan Lee (李奕霖), during the summer of this year, fulfilling Myolie’s 39th birthday wish to have another baby. Despite her growing family, Myolie is not giving up on her career. In addition to filming, she often sings at shows to make more money.
