Joseph Sikora Announces ‘Power Book IV: Force’ Is Ending After 3 Seasons On Starz
It’s the end of the road for another series in the Power franchise.
Star Joseph Sikora just revealed in a video that Power Book IV: Force will be ending after the Starz shows upcoming third season.
“I’ve got some news to share. #PowerForce #PowerUniverse,” he captioned the video on Instagram.
“When Gary Lennon and the other writers, and I, were mapping out our third season, we saw that we were telling a complete story,” Joseph says in the clip from set. “And that this was the perfect opportunity to stay true to our artist vision and make this the final chapter in Tommy’s journey in Chicago.”
He then teased that this is NOT the end of Tommy Egan in the Power universe!
“But don’t worry, Tommy’s journey is far from over with. We’re just getting warmed up and I can’t wait to show you what we have planned next,” Joseph continued. “I want to give a big shout out to all the players, the cast, the crew from Power Book IV: Force, and tell you to tune in, ’cause ghosts never die and power never ends.”
Showrunner Gary Lennon also shared a statement on the show ending and the future of the franchise.
“It is bittersweet to write the fulfilling ending of this chapter in Tommy’s journey, a character myself and fans have grown to love over the past decade,” he said, via Deadline. “Season 3 will question everything we thought we knew of Tommy’s world and I promise you it will not disappoint! Although this may be the end of the road for Force, there is much more expansive, compelling storytelling for the characters within the Power Universe.”
Force has been filming for the past few months in Chicago, but there is not a premiere date at this time.
In case you missed it, Power Book II: Ghost recently kicked off its fourth and final season.
There is also a Power prequel series in the works, centering on Tommy Egan and another character from the franchise!
