Katharine McPhee Says She Knows How Taylor Swift Feels After Incredible Moment at Philippines Show

Katharine McPhee just had a superstar moment while performing in the Philippines!

The 40-year-old entertainer played a show in front of 16,500 fans alongside husband David Foster on Tuesday night (June 18) as part of their tour of Asia.

“It is so good to be back. Why? Because there is no country, I’ve been to many countries, that loves music more than the Philippines. This is true,” David told the crowd, according to PhilStar.com.

The concert featured Kat, Brian McKnight, and local talent belting out many of David‘s hit songs from over the years.

Kat performed songs like Celine Dion‘s “The Power of Love,” Whitney Houston‘s “I Have Nothing” and “I Will Always Love You,” as well as her own hit song, “Terrified.”

While performing “Terrified,” Katharine noted that she felt like Taylor Swift thanks to the crowd’s reaction to her 2010 hit.

“Somebody told me this song was on a soap opera or something like that, so let’s see if you guys know it, okay?” Kat said while introducing the song. After she revealed the name of the song, the crowd freaked out and Kat said, “I know what it feels like to be Taylor Swift!”
