“Disgusting” And Inappropriate Message Sent To ’07 Liner Female Idol Sparks Outrage
“Seriously, what’s wrong with them?”
An inappropriate message that was sent to 07 liner TripleS‘s Soomin has netizens horrified.
On June 1, a set of messages from Soomin’s FROMM where the idol seemingly addressed a message she received from a fan, which many netizens deemed inappropriate as Soomin is a minor (born in 2007).
The first message was seemingly the message she received that read, “I want to smash [my lips] on yours and make you all flustered!!” After some ellipses and emojis, Soomin replied with the Korean letters for the Japanese phrase “やれやれ,” which has different meanings but can translate as “Well, well” but is normally used for negative connotations of disappointment.
The main tweet used on theqoo was from a tweet gaining attention online where the OP wrote, “Considering that a 30-year-old fan likely left such a comment for tripleS’s Soomin (07), it’s a bit…”
While there is no confirmation of the age of the person sending the message, netizens found it inappropriate and thought the company should do more to protect the young idol from those kinds of messages. Although Soomin seemingly took it lightly, it could have been much worse and shows that there are no motions in place to monitor the comments the members can see.
- “Damn…”
- “🤮🤮🤮”
- “Yuck.”
- “Damn, what’s the company doing? Filter them out.”
- “Damn, that’s gross;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;”
- “Crazy.”
- “Wow…”
- “Seriously, yuck. Ugh.”
- “Ugh, yuck.”
- “Gross…”
- “Seriously, what’s wrong with them?”
- “There’s a reason for strict forbidden words. Ugh.”
- “It’s really disgusting. Do they even realize they’re harassing?”
It is very worrying that such young idols are seeing inappropriate messages, and no matter what age the fan is, it isn’t surprising that netizens are concerned.
