Jacky Wu Eats Durian By The Roadside, Gets Mistaken For Homeless Man Online

Jacky Wu may be one of the most well-known and richest hosts in Taiwan, but he’s still a very down-to-earth guy, as this video (see below) can attest.

Earlier this week, Jacky shared a video on Facebook with the caption: “Playing big in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The king is sitting outside the massage shop eating durian and treating everyone to a massage. Come and enjoy!”

According to media reports, the 61-year-old was shooting variety show Mr Player in Vietnam and treated the crew to a massage.

In the video, Jacky, dressed in a red T-shirt and blue shorts, is seen sitting alone outside the shop with his back to the camera. Wearing plastic gloves, he takes hearty bites of his durian as cars whiz by.

Netizens were amused by Jacky’s lack of vanity.

While many were impressed by his down-to-earth ways, sitting on the ground and indulging in durian led some to mistake him for a “homeless person”.

It didn’t help that he looked forlorn eating alone.

“Why does he feel like a lonely old man?” asked one netizen, while another said: “He’s not eating durian, he’s eating loneliness.”

Jacky is known to be a durian aficionado and has been taking advantage of the durian season to eat his way around Southeast Asia.

Just two weeks ago, he shared pics of himself enjoying mao shan wang at a roadside stall in Kuala Lumpur.
