Park Shin Hye’s Latest K-Drama Wins Big At Prestigious International Film Festival

Park Shin Hye’s most acclaimed portrayal in 2024 was for the SBS fantasy legal drama, The Judge from Hell. In 2025, the show won big at a reputable American film festival.

According to reports on May 13, KST, The Judge from Hell bagged the Platinum Award in the TV Special Drama category at the 58th Houston International Film Festival. This highly prestigious award is exclusively reserved for projects that receive an “A” grade evaluation, meeting a cut-throat standard of television storytelling.

The drama finished airing all its episodes six months ago, garnering a huge viewership due to its unique storytelling with a mix of fantasy, crime, and legal drama. With this new international recognition, The Judge from Hell has cemented its position as one of the most appealing stories Korea gave to the world in 2024.

Director Park Jin Pyo expressed his gratitude for this accolade saying that receiving the award affirmed the creative team’s dedication to “push creative boundaries.”
