…but a recent viral video is believed to show it happening from the other direction.
In a post shared on X, a user of the site included a video showing a meet-and-greet between a fan and an idol group. The video appears normal at first, but one of the group members wraps his arm around the fan and appears to rub his hand over her chest.
The original post does not name the group, but they appear to be a Japanese idol group called IDOlity. The group made their debut in June 2024, and are an underground idol group, meaning they primarily promote through live shows and have closer relationships with fans.
When looking up the group on TikTok, more meet and greets like the viral video appear, showing the members getting in close contact with fans.
Many netizens have reacted with disgust, accusing the idol of taking advantage of the situation.
