UMS brings forward first two convocation sessions to Nov 28
KOTA KINABALU: Universiti Malaysia Sabah has brought forward the first two sessions of its 27th convocation to November 28 to avoid the November 29 Sabah state election.
In a statement, UMS said Sessions 3 and 4 on November 30 and Sessions 5 and 6 on December 1 will proceed as scheduled.
The university said top management approved the change after discussions with relevant parties following the Election Commission’s announcement.
“This adjustment allows graduates, parents, staff and the public to fulfil their voting responsibilities without disrupting the convocation,” it said.
UMS thanked all parties for their patience and support and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Graduates are advised to check the official UMS convocation website and social media for updates.
