As a token of support, Tune Hotels has opened the doors of their Putra World Trade Centre Branch (PWTC) to the staff of Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL). According to Harian Metro, this initiative was taken by Yayasan ECM Libra with the support of Ormond Group.

These corporate entities have put forward the initiative after finding out that the healthcare workers of HKL were sleeping on the sidewalks of the hospital after working long shifts. Some of them are required to report to the next shift after their brief rest.

According to the Malay Mail, medical officers who are on call usually work up to 36 hours on a stretch.

The PWTC Branch is very convenient for the hardworking staff because it’s located nearby HKL and the hotel management are willing to provide 130 rooms, including breakfast.
