177 Areas In The Klang Valley To Face Water Cuts On 31st October

This Thursday (31st October) may be Halloween but those residing within the Klang Valley will be facing water cuts for 23 hours.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) has released a statement explaining that emergency maintenance work is needed to replace the sluice valve at the Kepong Estate Water Pool after a serious leak was discovered.

As a result, 120 areas in Gombak and 57 other areas around Kuala Lumpur (including 119,630 registered customer accounts) will experience water disruption tomorrow. In the meantime, the public are advised to use water sparingly.

Air Selangor is issuing this announcement notice so that customers can make the necessary arrangements ahead of the temporary water supply interruption for 23 hours following the sluice valve replacement, which will begin at 9pm Thursday (31st Oct),” said the company’s Customer Relations and Communications Department chief Abdul Raof Ahmad. Water supply is expected to resume by 8pm on Friday (1st November).
