Keanu Reeves Goes Public With His First Girlfriend In Decades

Everyone’s favourite actor, Keanu Reeves, has decided to give love another chance. The actor and his long time business partner, Alexandra Grant, recently went public with their relationship.

The couple attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci in Los Angeles where they were photographed together on the red carpet holding hands and grinning. At the event, Grant chose a dark blue gown with a deep cut V-neck, while Reeves wore a slick all black suit.

This will mark the first relationship the Canadian has in decades. The “John Wick” star previously dated actress Jill Schoelen and director Sofia Coppola. Not only that, the A lister was also married to actress Jennifer Syme, who famously worked with director David Lynch.

Unfortunately, the marriage did not last as the Reeves and Syme parted ways in 2000, just weeks after the lost of their daughter. In 2001, Syme who was suffering from depression got involved in a tragic car accident resulting in her death. The news hit “Matrix” actor hard, as it was reported that he was very much still in love with her.

The lost of Syme weighed heavy on the “Bill and Ted” star that, “there were times when Keanu Reeves couldn’t get out of bed in the morning,” an insider told Life & Style. Luckily, the insider latter added that the actor did change for the better after he met his now girlfriend, Grant.

The two have been friends for years, with them having worked together on his 2011’s book, “Ode To Happiness”. The duo then collaborated again in 2016 on “Shadows” with the American being responsible for the illustration for the book. They later opened up a small publishing company called, X Artists’ Books, the following year.

Currently, the actor is hard at work having been starred in this year’s “Toy Story 4“, “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and Netflix’s “Always Be My Maybe”. His next project is expected to be the new “Matrix” movie, that will be directed by Lana and Lily Wachowski.
