TVB Releases Teaser for Upcoming 2020 Dramas

As we enter a new decade, we’re also entering a new era for television.

On November 3, TVB has aired a teaser featuring sneak peeks of various television dramas that it plans to air for the upcoming television season. From comedy to police procedurals to fantasy, here is what TVB has in store for next year!

“Colleagues Do Great Things” <伙記辦大事>

Starring Bobby Au-yeung (歐陽震華), Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Joey Meng (萬綺雯), Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), and Mat Yeung (), is a legal comedy that centers on the Accident Investigation Bureau (AI), a department the investigates vehicle accidents. Bobby plays Superintendent Yau, a former G4 agent who finds himself at odds with Lawyer Chiang, a barrister who defends the triads.

 

“All the People I’ve Loved Before” <那些我愛過的人>

Starring Frankie Lam (林文龍), Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), Mark Ma (馬貫東), and Shiga Lin (連詩雅), All the People I’ve Loved Before is a romantic drama that brings two different families together after an accident. It is Frankie’s first comeback drama since 2017’s My Unfair Lady <不懂撒嬌的女人>.

 

The Exorcist’s Meter 2.0 <降魔的2.0>

The highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 drama of the same name, 2.0 sees the return of Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Hubert Wu (胡鴻鈞), and Mandy Wong (黃智雯) in their original roles, fighting evil spirits and demons to defend humankind.

Legal Mavericks 2 <踩過界2>

A collaboration with China’s iQIYI, Legal Mavericks is set after the events of the 2017 legal drama of the same name, the series that earned Vincent Wong (王浩信) his first Best Actor win. Owen Cheung (張振朗) and Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) will return, with new additions Kelly Cheung (張曦雯) and Paul Chun (秦沛).

 

“Chinatown” <唐人街>

Created by Jazz Boon (文偉鴻), producer of Line Walker <使徒行者> and A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄>, Chinatown is set in Bangkok’s Chinatown in the 1960’s, and tells the story of different martial arts factions coming together to create history. Chinatown is helmed by the same crew that created A Fist Within Four Walls, and stars Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Grace Wong (王君馨), Philip Ng (伍允龍), Yuen Qiu (元秋), Natalie Tong (唐詩詠), Joel Chan (陳山聰), Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), and Tiffany Lau (劉穎鏇).

 

Of Greed and Ants <黃金有罪>

Set between 1977 and 1987, Of Greed and Ants follows the life story of Wing Muk-tung, an entrepreneur who betrays his friends for financial gain. It stars Eddie Cheung (張兆輝), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Tony Hung (洪永城), Ben Wong (黃智賢), Matthew Ho (何廣沛), Elaine Yiu, and Jeannie Chan.

 

“The Great Soy Factory” <大醬園>

Starring Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗) in her first leading role, the period drama centers on her character Ha Siu-moon, a maid turned daughter-in-law of the sauce tycoon who protects the factory from falling into enemy hands. Also starring is Matthew Ho, Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), and Hugo Ng (吳岱融).

 

Al Cappuccino <反黑路人甲>

The buddy cop comedy reunites Legal Maverick leads Vincent Wong and Owen Cheung as they are forced to set aside their differences to help the police take down a powerful triad.

 

Death by Zero <殺手>

The comic-inspired Death by Zero stars TV Kings Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) and Moses Chan (陳豪), the former a retired assassin and the latter a professional killer, who work together to take down a common enemy. It also stars Ali Lee (李佳芯), Elena Kong (江美儀), Samantha Ko (高海寧), and Katy Kung.

 

Forensic Heroes IV <法證先鋒IV>

The fourth installment to the blockbuster franchise Forensic Heroes, series four stars an entirely new cast, including Raymond Wong (黃浩然), Shaun Tam (譚俊彥), Selena Lee (李施嬅), Alice Chan (陳煒), Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯), Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡), and Rebecca Zhu. It also features guest appearances from Patrick Tse (謝賢), Michelle Yim (米雪), Nina Paw (鮑起靜), and Mak Ling-ling (麥玲玲).

Line Walker 3 <使徒行者3>

Line Walker 3, sequel to 2014’s original series, brings together the cast from the first and second installments. It stars Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Raymond Lam (林峯), Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), Pakho Chau (周柏豪), Hui Shiu-hung (許紹雄), Priscilla Wong, as well as new cast members Kenneth Ma, Sisley Choi, and Owen Cheung.

In addition, TVB has also announced that the sitcom Come Home Love: Lo and Behold <·回家之開心速遞> will air seven days a week starting January 4, 2020.
