Former President Jimmy Carter Hospitalized Due to Brain Bleeding

Jimmy Carter has been hospitalized with bleeding on the brain.

The 95-year-old former president – who served in office from 1977 to 1981 – experienced the bleeding following his recent falls.

America’s oldest living president is set to undergo a procedure on Tuesday morning (November 12).

Jimmy “was admitted to Emory University Hospital this evening for a procedure to relieve pressure on his brain, caused by bleeding due to his recent falls,” according to a statement from The Carter Center’s Twitter on Monday. He is currently “resting comfortably, and his wife, Rosalynn, is with him.”

Last month, Jimmy received “observation and treatment” at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center after fracturing his pelvis due to a fall at his home in Plains Georgia.

This marks the third time Jimmy Carter has fallen this year.

We’re wishing him a speedy recovery!
