Vanna White Gets Candid About Turning to Faith During Dark Times

Vanna White is opening up about her faith has gotten her through dark times.

The 62-year-old Wheel of Fortune co-host got candid about her relationship with God after suffering major loses earlier in her life.

“I grew up religious. I was baptized a Baptist, and I’ve always had my own personal relationship with God,” Vanna told People.

She continued, “I don’t preach, because everyone’s entitled to their own beliefs. I don’t judge anyone for whatever religion they are. This is my religion and I speak openly about it, but again, I would never preach.”

Vanna explained that she turned to faith after her fiance died in a plane crash in 1986 and later dealt with the miscarriage of her first child.

“I heard from so many people who had shared the same experience of losing someone instantly in an accident, and that really helped me. I didn’t feel like I was alone. Because when something like that happens, you immediately think you’re the only one,” Vanna explained.

Thankfully, Vanna has been able to persevere through the tough times.

She has now been a part of Wheel of Fortune for 37 seasons and will take over for host Pat Sajak for a few episodes later this year!
