Celine Ma’s Scenes Got Deleted in “Wonder Women”

Following the broadcast of Wonder Women <多功能老婆>, starring Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅), Pakho Chau (周柏豪), and Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗), the popular “mistress” storyline sparked a lot of discussions. In a bid to keep the attention on the plot line, Celine Ma‘s (馬蹄露) guest appearance was erased from the drama because of the recent sensitive social events.

Due to the frequent conflicts and friction between the public and police, many artists became involved, including Celine. She was beaten up for arguing with demonstrators, and the incident attracted widespread attention. It is believed TVB removed her scenes from Wonder Women because the company did not want to bring up a sensitive topic.

When reporters reached out to Celine for a comment, she said, “I didn’t play a police officer in the drama, but all my family members in the series are cops. I was just a guest star, and I didn’t have much dialogue!”

Producer Ella Chan Po-wah (陳寶華) explained, “To my knowledge, Celine had about two or three seconds of dialogue, but it did not affect the overall drama.”
