2 M’sian Men May Have Jumped Off Penang Bridge on 30th & 31st Dec, Rescuers Search For Bodies

As suicide cases have been on the rise lately, another 2 men seem to have fallen into depression and jumped off the Penang Bridge on 2 consecutive days.

Yesterday (3oth December 2019), a man with the name of Law Shee Hong, a 50-year-old company executive director, was suspected to have drowned in the sea under the Penang Bridge. As reported by Sin Chew, his car was found abandoned at the 5.2km mark on the bridge from the mainland at about 1.09am.

And according to Sin Chew, another person is presumed to have jumped off the bridge this morning (31st December 2019) at approximately 5.45am.

The missing person, 34-year-old July A/L Nee, left his car at 3.4km on the bridge and hasn’t been seen since, and so presumably jumped off the bridge as well. His family rushed to the scene immediately after hearing the news.

Both of their bodies have yet to be discovered, and rescuers are searching the sea for their bodies.
