PAS: DAP Should Not Be A Part Of Any New Government As Its “Extremism Was Obvious”

Even though there’s currently no information on the formation of the new government, several groups have come up with their own theories and opinions of what the new government should consist of. However, the PAS information chief has some claims that are controversial and ultimately bound to cause some tension.

According to The Star, PAS information chief Kamaruzaman Mohamad insists that DAP should not be included in any new ruling alliance. The reason behind this claim is that DAP had undermined the Federal Constitution when it was part of the ruling government.

“DAP’s extremism was obvious when it was in power. Playing with racial fire can lead to political instability and disharmony.”

However, he added that PAS will still act according to the law and remain calm for now. The party still insists that Dr Mahathir should serve a full term as the Prime Minister which abides the people’s mandate. He also added that the party has full confidence in the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s wisdom to make the right decision as currently no party or coalition has the majority to form the government.

Whether or not this information will affect the decision the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is going to make. All we can do right now is hope that whatever decision is made with the people’s best interest at heart.
