Singapore Records 386 New Covid-19 Cases Which Marks Highest Daily Spike In Country To Date
Singapore recorded 386 new Covid-19 cases on Monday (13 April) bringing the total number of infections to 2,918. According to the Straits Times, this is the highest daily spike in the country to date with 280 of them linked to known clusters.
Most of the infected patients are said to be foreign workers living in dormitories, reported the country’s Ministry of Health.
It also mentioned that 222 more cases have been linked to the S11 Dormitory @ Punggol, which is the largest cluster with 586 cases.
Four new clusters have also been identified at CitiWall at Kaki Bukit Crescent, ABC Hostel at Jalan Kubor, Tech Park Crescent dormitory and Kranji Dormitory.
586 patients have been discharged as of Monday (13 April) while a total of nine deaths have been recorded.
1,158 confirmed cases are still in hospital with most of them in a stable condition while 29 are currently being treated in the intensive care unit.
