Man Rushes Onstage to Propose to Dilraba Dilmurat, Host Wang Han Praised for His Quick Thinking
On June 7, popular actress Dilraba Dilmurat was part of a show for public welfare when a man suddenly rushed onstage, nudged her on the arm and got down on his knee to propose to her. Visibly shocked, Dilraba froze briefly before managing a smile.
She was streaming live with the Day Day Up talk show hosts Wang Han, Wowkie Zhang (Da Zhang Wei), Wang Yibo, etc. to sell agricultural products as part of an initiative to help the poverty-stricken. Upon seeing what happened, Wang Han immediately came forward to hold the man’s hand back and without missing a beat, he said, “You like then you can definitely make an order, to our onsite staff, come take this friend and teach him how to do make an order…” Wowkie Zhang also pulled Dilraba back to stand in front of her as staff came to drag the man who was refusing to leave.
Everything transpired within seconds before everyone went back to promoting products like nothing happened. Dilraba even lightened the mood by saying that she has felt everyone’s enthusiasm. The man is said to have a reputation for stalking celebrities having proposed to actress Wang Luodan twice! He was reportedly on the set of Dilraba’s new drama Chang Ge Xing and had flowers for her at the airport.
Her fan club has released a statement to say that they’ve gotten confirmation from Dilraba’s studio that the man has been sent to the police station. Her fans are also requesting for her studio to increase security.
I mean, I don’t even know what to say. This reminded me of the time when a man crashed into Liu Yifei while she was onstage or worse, when Simon Yam suddenly got stabbed. I’m thankful nothing bad happened in part due to how well everyone reacted especially Wang Han who is trending for his quick save.
