Penang Hill Funicular Service Re-Opens To Visitors Effective June 10

The Penang Hill Corporation announced that the funicular service will be reopened to tourists on June 10!

Based on the statement of the Penang Hill Corporation, Penang state government announced that it will implement the reinstatement of the Federal Government’s Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) from June 10. The agency will also restart the funicular service as domestic tourism is allowed during this period.

The notice said that the funicular service will start at 6.30 am and the last trip from the upper station will be at 11 pm.

All tourists must abide by the standard operating procedures of the Ministry of Health and the Penang Hill Corporation. Tourists must bring their own and wear masks.

In addition, the Astake will also reopen on June 15.
