Nur Sajat Sheds Light On Racy Instagram Posts Controversy

Nur Sajat recently raised eyebrows after she posted a few photos of herself in a bikini, revealing her assets to the public.

In an interview with Harian Metro, the queer figure decided to shed some light on the issue. Seemingly disappointed with the public outrage, she insisted that she did nothing wrong in coming up with the posts.

Responding to the massive backlash, the 35-year-old said, “I wasn’t prostituting myself on social media. But instead, I only shared what I like to wear as well as appreciating my own beauty. My Instagram is often used to share my life with my followers, and not just solely for business purposes only,”

“In fact, I love sharing posts about fashion, make-up, assistance, information and more,” the “Bobo Di Mana” singer was quoted as saying. She further emphasised that each and every human being has their own choices. Not only that, Sajat assured everyone that she still strongly adheres to Islamic law.

During the interview, Sajat also asked those who are planning to boycott her to not just simply judge her based on her image and her revealing choice of clothing. “Beauty is something that is universal. Everyone wants to look attractive, and so do I. In this case, I’m just being myself,” she told the news outlet.

She continued, “Just because of my sexy image, every one seems to forget all the good deeds that I’ve done before. I really cannot fathom that when I dress up sexily, a lot of people start launching protests against me, as if I’ve committed a big unforgivable sin.”

“I was a little disappointed for being the victim of this situation. There are many sexier women out there on social media. Even X-rated videos are accessible here in Malaysia. Why am I being slammed like this?” she further questioned.

Refusing to prolong the controversy, Sajat ended up apologising for inciting public outrage over her posts on social media.
