Joe Chen and Boyfriend Alan Chen Celebrate Her 42nd Birthday Together
Happy Birthday Joe!
It’s another year around the sun for Taiwanese actress Joe Chen as she celebrated her 42nd birthday on April 4! Unlike last year when the onslaught of the pandemic forced the couple to be on LDR for the duration of the quarantine lockdowns, Joe and her Malaysian beau Alan Chen are celebrating her birthday together this year with some of their close friends that include her former 7 Flowers bandmates Joyce Chao and Doris Lai.
The first year of Joe and Alan’s relationship hasn’t been easy after meeting on the reality dating show Meeting Mr. Right 2 in 2019. First they had to deal with the naysayers who made their dissatisfaction over the actress’ new romance known, and then the lockdowns happened. Having just gotten into a relationship, the pair had to spend Joe’s birthday last year apart due to the border restrictions imposed by Taiwan and Malaysia. This year however, things are definitely looking up for her birthday.
A short clip she shared on her Instagram page shows a very chuffed Joe Chen flashing the peace sign surrounded by glittery balloons. “Balloons always make me happy. Making my birthday wish before midnight. I hope all stray animals in the world will be treated kindly.”
Meanwhile Alan also popped up a photo of himself and Joe sharing a sweet kiss with Joe’s birthday cake and a giant bouquet of red roses in the forefront.
