Sammi Cheung Was Excited by Dickson Yu’s Kiss

In currently airing drama Fraudstars <欺詐劇團>, Sammi Cheung (張秀文) has kissing scenes with Dickson Yu (余德丞) as well as Angel Chiang (蔣家旻).

In the drama, Sammi’s character has her first kiss “stolen” by Dickson. Upon realizing that he has a habit of eating worms, she develops a phobia of kissing, and everyone tries different methods to help her overcome it.

Sharing her filming experience on set, Sammi has high praises for Dickson, whom she called extremely daring. “All the worms were huge and wild, and he really put the worms near his mouth pretending to eat them. If you aren’t careful, the worms might just fall into your mouth.”

Although they have known each other for a long time, they were classmates in university and had gone to France together as exchange students. However, they were not close. “So I’ve completely no illusions of him as a male god, and I think he feels the same about me.”

Asked if the two were aroused by the kiss, Sammi said, “I don’t think he was, but I was. He has so many fans, so earlier my heart really raced and my whole back was wet with perspiration. After all, my character in that scene really liked him a lot, so to be convincing, I was extremely nervous.”

The actress had another girl-on-girl kissing scene with Angel, to help her character overcome her fear of kissing. Sammi confessed that she had accidentally kissed Angel’s upper lip since the two had to close their eyes. “Ngo Ka Nin (敖嘉年), who was on set said [the mistake] turned out good, since it expressed how my character was not familiar with and not savvy at kissing.”
