Zac Brown Tests Positive For COVID-19; Pauses ‘Comeback Tour’ With Zac Brown Band

Zac Brown has had to pause his tour because he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 43-year-old singer revealed to fans that the band are pressing pause on The Comeback Tour as he deals with having the virus.

“I have made the very difficult decision to pause Zac Brown Band’s ‘The Comeback Tour,’” he wrote on Instagram. “Despite taking precautions, I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I am deeply disappointed this has happened, as touring is our life and performing live for our fans is the best part of our job.”

Zac added that the tour would pick back up again “as soon as I have finished the CDC-mandated quarantine and it is safe for our band members and crew to do so.”

He did not disclose if he or if any of his band members or tour personnel had been vaccinated or additional members tested positive.

The next four shows – in Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York – have been canceled to allow enough time for his full recovery. Refunds are available for all four of them.

“I am grateful to our fans for understanding this decision, as well as everyone on the front lines who can’t stay at home because their work is essential. I believe we can all overcome this together. As soon as we can, we’ll see you back out on the road again. Nothing’s better than the comeback.”

Last year, Zac cancelled the band’s Owl Tour over concerns about the pandemic, and urged his fans to take proper precautions.
