Steve Harvey Under Fire For Asking Miss India To “Meow” On Stage During Miss Universe 2021 Pageant
The 2021 Miss Universe competition started with a bang – and a meow? Yep, thanks to pageant host Steve Harvey.
Nope, we promise he didn’t crown the wrong winner (again). Instead, he asked a competitor to make an animal sound. Yes, you read that right.
According to reports, many pageant fans were left pretty pissed off after host Steve Harvey asked Miss India to do her best animal impersonation onstage, while the other beauty queens were given the chance to talk about their actual accomplishments.

Miss India Harnaaz Sandhu, based on her impression, was taken by surprised as Harvey told her:
“I hear you do some pretty good animal impersonations. Let’s hear your best one.”
To which, she replied:
“Oh, my God, Steve, I was not expecting to do this on the world stage.”

It was at this very moment that stood out to many viewers, who questioned why Sandhu hadn’t been given the opportunity to share more about herself and her accomplishments.

OMG Miss India meowing at Steve Harvey is not what I was expecting to see tonight. Pretty sure the Miss Universe organization could have asked a better question… very frustrating but she was nothing if not confident.

Fair or unfair?
As many would know, the contestants of Miss Universe are judged on their intellect and accomplishments as well as their beauty.
This is the reason why they are asked about their work and accomplishments before the judges come to a decision.
But when it came to Miss India, Harnaaz Sandhu, host Steve Harvey asked a very odd question which did not give Miss India the opportunity to share more about her accomplishments.
