Rachel Zegler & Ariana DeBose Celebrate Their Wins at Golden Globes 2022
Rachel Zegler and Ariana DeBose are winners!
The two actresses took home awards for their roles in West Side Story at the 2022 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 9).
Rachel, 20, won the award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy while Ariana, 30, won Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.
After their wins were announced, Rachel and Ariana both took to social media to celebrate.
“i got cast as maría in west side story on 1/9/19. and i just won a golden globe for that same performance, on 1/9/22. life is very strange,” Rachel tweeted.
Ariana took to Instagram to write, “There is still work to be done, but when you’ve worked so hard on a project- infused with blood, sweat, tears and love- having the work seen and acknowledged is always going to be special. Thank you🙏🏾 #latinosinfilm #afrolatina #queertalent #musicalsrock”
