KJ: No Quarantine For Fully Vaccinated Travellers Who Were Recently Infected With Covid-19

Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin had just announced that travellers who are fully vaccinated but has a history of being infected with Covid-19 within 11-60 days DO NOT need to undergo quarantine when they arrive in Malaysia.

However, they will be required to do an RTK test in front of the health officers at the international arrival doors and those who tested positive would not be allowed to enter. In the meantime, they will be required to show these following documents,

• proof of full vaccination,
• printed laboratory test results confirming their infection was between 11 and 60 days prior to departure, and
• A certified medical letter stating that they are fit to travel (if they had been hospitalized)

On the other hand, travellers who are partially vaccinated or unvaccinated will have to be isolated for 7 days upon arrival in the country in selected quarantine centres. Similarly, an RTK test is also compulsory and will be done in front of the health officers at the international arrival doors.

Travellers without a history of Covid-19 infection and who were fully vaccinated would be subjected to the requirements currently in force. These latest SOPs that Khairy had just announced will come into effect today (13 January).
