Anthony Edwards & Mare Winningham Reveal They Quietly Eloped Last Year

Surprise! Anthony Edwards and Mare Winningham are married!

During a new interview, the 59-year-old Inventing Anna actor revealed that he and the 62-year-old two-time Emmy-winning actress quietly eloped last year.

While speaking with Esquire, Anthony shared that he and Mare had a very intimate ceremony with “just the two of them and an old friend to officiate.”

“We’re too old to throw weddings,” Anthony added before he gushing over Mare. “She’s just spectacular. She’s an amazing singer and she’s a wonderful actress and she’s an incredible person.”

If you didn’t know, Anthony and Mare starred together in the 1986 movie the Miracle Mile and were friends for decades before eventually getting together.

In 2020, Anthony and Mare were both living in New York City at the same time and their romance become serious as they spent more time together during the beginning of the pandemic.

Before getting together, Anthony was married to ex-wife Jeanine Lobell from 1994 until 2015, with whom he shares four children.

Mare has previously been married three times: to Jason Trucco from 2008 until 2012, to William Mapel from 1982-1996, and to A Martinez from 1981 until 1982. She and William share five children.
