This Week, BTS Completely Owns Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart

And it’s not the first time they’ve done it!

Billboard‘s World Digital Song Sales chart is a weekly music chart that lists the 15 most popular international songs in the United States at the time. Given K-Pop’s growing global popularity, it isn’t unusual to see songs from Korean artists on the chart, but this week is different!

With BTS‘s latest album, PROOF, released, the K-Pop boy group has completely taken over the chart this week with 15 songs from the album ranking on it.

And this isn’t the first time that BTS has achieved this, either! It’s actually the third, which Billboard even shared on their official Twitter account.

Based on the dates given, it sounds like they also achieved this with the release of Love Yourself: Answer in August 2018, and then with Map of the Soul: 7 in February 2020.

Here’s a look at the entire chart! Coming in at the top this week is, unsurprisingly, “Yet To Come”.

Taking up the next four positions are “Run BTS”, “For Youth”, “Born Singer”, and “No More Dream” respectively. “No More Dream” has been on the chart before for 5 total weeks, and had a peak at #2 during one of those weeks.

The next five songs on the chart, respectively, are “Run”, “N.O”, “I Need U”, “Spring Day”, and “BTS Cypher, Pt.3: Killer”. All but “N.O” have made it onto the chart in the past, with “I Need U” having spent a whopping 123 weeks total on it! “Spring Day” has spent 61 weeks on the chart, and has peaked at #1 in the past.

The following three places are taken by “Danger”, “Blood Sweat & Tears”, and “Boy In Luv”. These songs, too, have been on the chart before, with “Blood Sweat & Tears” taking the lead with 117 total weeks spent and a peak at #1.

Finally, the last two songs to make it onto the chart this week are “Euphoria” and “Filter”. These solos by Jungkook and Jimin respectively have both peaked at #1 in the past, with 91 and 81 total weeks spent on the chart at this time.

Congratulations to BTS for taking over this Billboard chart once again!
